Daiwa Energy Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Shikoku Kasei Construction Materials Co., Ltd., has developed the “DREAM Port” solar carport, which can be equipped with solar power generation systems. The product is set to officially launch in January 2025, with the goal of promoting the spread of renewable energy and contributing to a decarbonized society.

A New Solution to Support the Expansion of Renewable Energy

Solar power generation is crucial for realizing a decarbonized society, but the limited space available for installing panels has been a barrier to its wider adoption. To address this, Daiwa Energy Co., Ltd., and Shikoku Kasei Construction Materials Co., Ltd., jointly developed the “DREAM Port” solar carport, which balances design aesthetics with user convenience.
This carport not only supports solar panel installation but is also designed with user-friendly features. The rear-support type accommodates four vehicles with only two support columns, improving ease of use when parking. Additionally, careful attention has been paid to conceal wiring, maintaining a sleek design, while integrating lighting and wiring routes seamlessly. The carport also features a gutter-integrated design for areas with heavy snowfall, enhancing durability against harsh weather conditions.
To accelerate the spread of renewable energy, Daiwa Energy provides a comprehensive one-stop service that covers “construction,” “power generation,” and “maintenance.” With the launch of the “DREAM Port,” the company aims to solve the problem of limited installation space for solar power systems and promote the adoption of renewable energy, thereby contributing to the realization of a decarbonized society.
Shikoku Kasei Construction Materials, leveraging its expertise in the non-residential sector, has developed this product as part of its efforts to promote carbon neutrality across society. The “DREAM Port” not only focuses on energy generation but also features a design that harmonizes with the environment while providing user convenience, offering a new solution for expanding renewable energy use.
