Hoshino Resorts will reopen the forest restaurant “Nininupuri” on December 17, 2024, as part of their circular agriculture initiative, “Farm Hoshino.” With this renewal, visitors will enjoy new menu items made with dairy products from Farm Hoshino, as well as live cheese-making demonstrations and a new soft-serve ice cream station with customizable toppings.
Enjoy Live Cheese-Making and Pizza with Farm Hoshino’s Fresh Dairy Products
At the resort facility “RISONARE Tomamu” in Hokkaido, the forest restaurant “Nininupuri” has undergone a major renewal in collaboration with Farm Hoshino, a project that promotes circular agriculture. The new concept, “Travel × Farming,” focuses on offering locally produced dairy products and food that showcases the richness of Hokkaido’s nature.
One of the highlights of the renewal is the live cheese-making studio, where guests can watch mozzarella cheese being freshly made by the staff, which is then used on pizzas served immediately afterward. A new “Soft Serve Station” allows visitors to customize soft-serve ice cream made from Tomamu milk with various toppings.
The restaurant introduces two new pizzas: the classic Margherita featuring mozzarella from the live studio, and a special pizza topped with Hokkaido’s famous “Jingisukan” (grilled lamb) and mountain wasabi. Both are baked fresh in the restaurant’s oven, offering a rich, cheesy taste.
The newly added “Soft Serve Station” allows guests to enjoy soft-serve ice cream made from Tomamu milk with a variety of toppings, including local Hokkaido delicacies like milk jam and crunchy corn crackers. This sweet-and-savory combination is a must-try. Staff will explain the unique characteristics of Tomamu milk, providing an educational experience about Farm Hoshino’s sustainable farming efforts.
