Shinto Communication and the Hakuba Tourism Bureau will co-host the 6th edition of the “GREEN WORK HAKUBA” Circular Economy Conference from November 5 to 7, 2024. The event will bring together about 50 participants from across Japan to discuss and explore circular economy models and nature-positive initiatives in Hakuba Village, aiming to shape a sustainable future for the region.

Exploring the Implementation of Circular Economy and Nature-Positive Practices in Hakuba Village

The “GREEN WORK HAKUBA” Circular Economy Conference, scheduled from November 5 to 7, 2024, in Nagano Prefecture’s Hakuba Village, will focus on circular economy and nature-positive initiatives. Co-hosted by Shinto Communication and the Hakuba Tourism Bureau, this 6th edition of the event will welcome around 30 companies from inside and outside the region to explore sustainable business models and the utilization of regional resources.
First launched in 2020, the conference has become one of Japan’s largest events dedicated to circular economy discussions. Local businesses in Hakuba Village collaborate with external partners to envision the region’s future. Participants will delve into strategies to implement circular economy and nature-positive practices, contributing to a future where businesses and ecosystems thrive in harmony.
At this year’s conference, expert talks will provide insights into nature-positive business models, while fieldwork within Hakuba Village will help attendees experience the local environment firsthand. Discussions on co-creation opportunities between local and external companies will also take place, aimed at enhancing the region’s sustainability.
