Connecting Children to Discuss the Future of the Earth Through Online Classes
Tokyu Land Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroaki Hoshino) will host the “ReENE Summit” on December 21, 2024. This online event targets 5th and 6th-grade students across Japan, focusing on renewable energy and environmental issues. The summit is made possible through collaboration with TANQ Gakusha, Ltd. (Headquarters: Mitaka City, Tokyo; President: Yasunobu Hotsuki). Children will have the chance to think about the “now” and “future” of their towns and the Earth.
The event is free of charge and limited to 250 participants. It will be held as an online class via Zoom, covering topics such as a decarbonized society, climate crisis, and renewable energy. Applications will close once the capacity is reached.
As part of its renewable energy business “ReENE,” Tokyu Land Co. has been promoting the “ReENE ÉCOLE” program, which allows children to enjoy learning about environmental issues. In 2021, they hosted the “ReENE ÉCOLE Kids Fest” in Yokohama, Kanagawa, with many children participating. Since 2023, remote classes connecting regions in Hokkaido and Ibaraki have also been implemented.
