Shin-Mirai Corporation has enhanced its wood information platform, “eTREE,” by adding new features, expanding its wood selection, and launching CLT building consulting services. These updates aim to provide more valuable information and cater to the diverse needs of users who utilize wood.
A Comprehensive Platform Addressing the Diverse Needs of Wood Utilization
In recent years, there has been growing interest in using wood, especially local and environmentally-friendly materials. However, a lack of consolidated information on wood and a communication gap between suppliers and users have posed challenges, making it difficult to utilize wood in design projects.
To address these issues, Shin-Mirai Corporation has introduced various new features to enhance the usability of its wood information platform, “eTREE.” A key addition is the “Regular Event Page” in the Forest and Wood Event Portal, which allows for easier dissemination of recurring event information, such as forest tours and woodworking workshops. The platform also improved its integration with social media and introduced a feature that highlights events nearing their registration deadlines, making it more convenient for users to discover relevant events.
Additionally, the wood selection now offers 30 unique wood products sourced from across Japan, providing a broader range of choices for users. The platform also showcases examples of wood delivered to real-world projects, such as apparel store fixtures, tables made from local timber, and interiors using CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber), highlighting the versatility of wood in various applications. The newly launched CLT building consulting service offers comprehensive support for architects and contractors, from optimal wood procurement to construction. This service is expected to further promote the use of wood, particularly CLT, in building projects.
Shin-Mirai Corporation aims to continue enhancing its platform, making wood more accessible and fostering a sustainable society where forests and wood are utilized responsibly.
