Disney’s latest film, “Moana 2,” will be released in theaters starting December 6, bringing back the epic adventure following the success of its predecessor. A special Christmas tree themed after the film is also featured at Ikspiari in Tokyo Disney Resort.
Moana’s New Story Loved Worldwide
“Moana” is based on mystical Polynesian legends, depicting a young girl, Moana, who embarks on an adventure to find her path. The film was a major hit in Japan, attracting 4.23 million viewers and grossing over 5.16 billion yen. Its captivating music and stunning visuals moved audiences deeply.
In “Moana 2,” Moana’s new adventures are once again brought to life. Directed by David G. Derrick Jr., the film’s music is composed by Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, with Opetaia Foa’i and Mark Mancina from the previous film also contributing, heightening the anticipation for the soundtrack.
New companions join the journey, increasing the scale of the adventure, and expectations are high for this latest installment.
Continuing the legacy of its predecessor, the film promises another wave of inspiring stories and memorable music, reigniting the “Moana phenomenon.”
Celebrating its fourth year, Ikspiari’s Christmas tree is specially themed to reflect the film’s world. Additionally, a photo location featuring Moana’s oar and Maui’s hook is available ahead of the film’s release. At the Entry Plaza from JR Maihama Station, visitors are greeted by large banners with stunning visuals, and inside, arches and walls are adorned with original flag banners featuring Moana.
