Achieving Sustainable CO2 Reduction Aiming for the Conservation of Natural Capital
LY Corporation and Owase City have signed a 10-year J-Credit transaction contract, establishing a new partnership focused on environmental conservation. This is Owase City’s first J-Credit transaction, with the initial trade planned for March 2025.
LY Corporation will use the purchased credits to offset CO2 emissions within the group, promoting efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030.
Meanwhile, Owase City plans to use the revenue for forest maintenance, forestry development, and seaweed bed regeneration, strengthening nature-positive initiatives.
This contract is positioned as part of fulfilling responsibilities towards the global environment. Both parties aim to achieve sustainable CO2 reduction and biodiversity conservation by “cultivating rich forests in harmony with nature,” striving to build a sustainable society for the future.
