The “Kubiki Cycling Digital Stamp Rally” will be held along the “Kubiki Cycling Road,” which runs along the coast of Niigata Prefecture, for a limited time from September 7 to November 17, 2024. The event is designed to be easily enjoyed by families and casual cyclists using their smartphones.
Experience something new on the Sea of Japan cycling road, with stunning spots overlooking Sado Island and the Noto Peninsula
The “Kubiki Cycling Road Promotion Committee” will host a digital stamp rally in the area centered around the Kubiki Cycling Road. The Kubiki Cycling Road is a roughly 32-kilometer cycling path built on the former track bed of the old Hokuriku Main Line, offering breathtaking views of the Sea of Japan along its coastal route. There are spots where you can see Sado Island and the Noto Peninsula, adding to the natural beauty of the area.
Participants will collect digital stamps as they visit 57 designated spots between Itoigawa City and Joetsu City. These spots, located along the coast, near train stations, and other key locations, showcase the local charm as participants cycle through the area.
By collecting five or more stamps, the first 500 participants will receive a ball-shaped eco bag. Those who collect 15 or more stamps will be entered into a lottery to win shopping vouchers for the “Roadside Station Marine Dream Nou” or admission tickets to the Joetsu City Aquarium “Umigatari.” Additionally, those who collect all the stamps will have a chance to win a gift of Itoigawa specialty products worth 10,000 yen, with five winners selected by lottery.
During the stamp rally, there will also be a hashtag campaign. By following the official X (formerly Twitter) or Instagram accounts of Kubiki Cycling PR character “Kubiki Rin” and posting photos of the cycling experience or local food with the hashtags “#KubikiCycling” and “#KubikiCyclingRoad,” participants can enter for a chance to win original merchandise.
