From October 12 to 14, 2024, the resort facility “COMORIVER” located in Hiki District, Saitama Prefecture, will host the event “NORDIC SAUNA FES 2024 in COMORIVER,” where participants can experience Nordic sauna culture. Set against the backdrop of the pristine Tokigawa River, attendees can enjoy the refreshing autumn breeze and outdoor air baths after their sauna sessions.

Blissful Moments with Nordic Culture, Saunas, and Nature

The venue for the event, “COMORIVER,” is a small resort with 12 rooms located in Tokigawa Town, Hiki District. The facility features permanent saunas that reflect Nordic culture, including an Estonian “Igloo Sauna” and a Finnish-style “Sauna Mökki.” The newly established public sauna area, added in July, includes three types of saunas and a cold plunge pool, providing additional relaxation for visitors.
During the event, participants will have the luxury of unlimited access to five outdoor saunas, including the “Igloo Sauna” and “Sauna Mökki.” Activities harmonized with nature, such as the “Riverbed Slider” and “Gushing Shower” for cold water immersion, will be available. After the sauna, guests can unwind around a campfire, enjoying a relaxing time.
A special area exclusive to event participants will also be available. This area will offer the chance to enjoy outdoor air baths after the sauna, meals, and conversations around the campfire. Cooling down in the pleasant autumn breeze will be a moment to forget the hustle and bustle of daily life.
“NORDIC SAUNA FES 2024 in COMORIVER” will take place in two sessions each day during the event period: the “Autumn Clear Sky Session” (11:00 AM – 2:00 PM) and the “Twilight Session” (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM), with each session limited to 20 participants. The participation fee is ¥7,980 (including tax), with tickets available for purchase on the official website. Early bird tickets are offered at ¥6,980 (including tax) from August 24 to September 11.
COMORIVER’s appeal as an outdoor resort lies in its location along the beautiful Tokigawa River. Based on the facility’s concept of “Moments of Natural Harmony,” various activities such as glamping, BBQ, and outdoor saunas are provided.
The facility is operated by Onsen Dojo Co., Ltd., which manages “ofuro café®” brands and is involved in the operation of bathing and resort facilities, as well as regional business investment and revitalization support. The company, aiming for regional revitalization and new value creation, presents “NORDIC SAUNA FES 2024” as a new form of relaxation that combines Nordic culture with Japanese nature.
