Kanadevia Corporation has received a contract to supply equipment for Kyrgyzstan’s first waste incineration power plant in Bishkek, the country’s capital. This plant, with a waste processing capacity of 1,000 tons per day and a power output of 30MW, is expected to contribute to solving the city’s waste management issues and strengthening sustainable energy supply.
Strengthening Energy Supply through a Sustainable Waste Management System
Kanadevia, in collaboration with Junxin Huanbao KG Invest LLC (Bishkek, hereafter Junxin Huanbao), the local subsidiary of Hunan Junxin Environmental Protection Group in China, will construct a large-scale waste incineration power plant in Bishkek. The facility will feature a stoker-type incinerator with a waste processing capacity of 1,000 tons per day and a power output of 30MW, aiming for completion by December 2025.
Kanadevia previously handled the design and equipment supply for a waste incineration power plant in Changsha, China, with a capacity of 5,100 tons per day through six incinerators of 850 tons each and a total power output of 100MW. The success of this project earned the company a similar role in the Bishkek project, where it will oversee basic and detailed design of the incinerators, supply of key equipment, installation, and technical supervision during trial operations.
The new waste incineration power plant aims to achieve sanitary waste disposal and generate power using waste heat from incineration, contributing to sustainable energy supply. With the global rise in waste generation, Kanadevia, as a leading company in waste incineration power generation, is actively working to meet the growing demand for clean energy and to realize a circular economy.
