Mori Building Co., Ltd. will hold the grand finale of a three-year series of Christmas events themed around “Connection to the Forest” at “ARK HILLS CHRISTMAS 2024.” This year’s theme is “Utilization,” focusing on various programs aimed at sustainable coexistence between cities and forests.
A Christmas Tree Made from Thinned Wood and Varied Workshops
Since 2020, Ark Hills has hosted Christmas illuminations under the theme of “Connection to the Forest,” aiming for a sustainable society. This initiative, which symbolizes sustainable urban development, has garnered increasing attention each year and has raised awareness about the importance of forest conservation.
The final year of the three-year plan in 2024 focuses on the keyword “Utilization.” This year’s Christmas tree, made using thinned wood, features authentic decorations and will be displayed at Ark Karajan Plaza. Special versions of the “Christmas Market” and “Christmas Flea Market” will offer seasonal items that brighten up the holiday season. Additionally, workshops such as wreath-making and candy boot-making will be held, allowing visitors to create memorable Christmas experiences.
Furthermore, Christmas trees used in previous years have been repurposed into garden walkways and composts, emphasizing the connection between urban and natural environments. These efforts for resource recycling are expected to continue in the future.
Event Period: Saturday, November 23, 2024 – Wednesday, December 25, 2024
Venue: Ark Karajan Plaza, Ark Mori Building, Ark Hills South Tower
