Coach’s Environmental Commitment Shines Through Repurposed Material Design
At the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards, Coach drew attention with custom looks themed around sustainable fashion. Stars including actor Charles Melton, musician GloRilla, Kelsea Ballerini, actress Coco Jones, and model Ella Emhoff appeared in outfits featuring repurposed and upcycled materials.
Each look showcased Coach’s craftsmanship and heritage, creatively reinterpreting post-consumer materials and leather scraps, embodying Coach’s vision for a sustainable future. For instance, Charles Melton wore an oversized coat and vest crafted from vintage suede jacket and pants. GloRilla appeared in a moto jacket reimagined from vintage leather, paired with a checkerboard set made from leather scraps from Coach’s production.
Stuart Vevers, Coach’s creative director, commented, “By reusing past materials and designs, we are pursuing harmony between fashion and the environment,” highlighting Coach’s ambition towards a circular society.
Looking forward, Coach continues to expand the possibilities of fashion through sustainable designs and the use of repurposed materials.
